Straight bets are the most common type of bet. A standard straight bet simply means that the bettor can choose to bet on the favorite or the underdog. The favorite and underdog are determined by the point spread. Which ever team is favored to win would be considered the favorite and which ever team is not favored to win would be considered the underdog.

Parlay bets pay out higher amounts compared to single straight bets because the odds of winning are less. Parlay bets are a combination from two to twelve wagers (a.k.a “bets”) combined into one bet.

Teaser bets are referred to as exotic bets. A standard teaser bet is similar to a parlay bet in that it is simply multiple “straight bets” combined into one single bet. The difference is that with a teaser bet, you have the ability to move the line (point spread or total) in your favor. Traditionally, you can move the line 6, 6.5 or 7 points in any direction.
